Set up your first class

Create a Semester

Click + Semester in the sidebar. Enter the name (e.g. "Spring 2026") and abbreviation (e.g. "sp26").

Create a Class

Click + Class. Select your semester, enter the course name and abbreviation. Set the semester start date under Competencies → Semester Start Date.

Add Competencies

Click Competencies. Add Core and Elective competencies. Configure grade thresholds (A rule: 4 Mastery + required electives).

Add Students

Click Roster. Add students manually or import from CSV. Include email addresses for recap emails.

Build a Question Set

Click + Set. Create a set and add questions from the Question Bank. Assign the set to a competency.

Run your first interview

Open Instructor Panel

Click Instructor Panel in the top bar. Open the Student Screen on a second monitor via the app menu.

Select student, competency, set

The green Approaching Only banner fires automatically if the student can reach an A without any more Masteries.

Start Interview

Click ▶ Start Interview. The timer starts. Sending the first question also auto-starts the timer if you forget.

Send questions & mark buckets

Select a question and click Send. After asking, select the history entry and click Q, P, A, or M.

End Session

Click 🏁 End Session. Confirm the grade, add eval notes, send recap email. The grade is recorded with highest-wins logic.
